Calvine Road is the line between Vineyard and our side of the county, and from the top of a ladder you honestly can’t tell which side you’re on. Same newer houses, same HOA newsletters, same backup on Bradshaw at a quarter to six. Vineyard Christmas light hanging feels like home turf to us for exactly that reason. Call (916) 823-8394 and most Vineyard jobs can be priced in that one call.

Vineyard Christmas light hanging starts with the lot

Vineyard is part new-build tract and part country. Some subdivisions are spread out with bigger parcels between them, and out toward Grant Line Road you’ll find homes on real acreage with long gravel drives. Closer to the Florin side it’s tighter: newer two-story streets, small front yards, garages out front. We light both, just differently, so mention which kind of lot you’re on when you call.

Vineyard Christmas lights, street by street

In Vineyard Springs, the planned area between Gerber and Calvine, lots of the homes are two stories with several gables stacked on the front. We usually light the upper roofline, since that’s the one you see from the corner, and add the lower eave over the garage if you want the full outline.

Churchill Downs and Sunrise Vineyards on the west side have midsize homes and landscaping that’s had time to fill in. Front trees there are at a nice height for wrapping, and the walks are short enough that a row of stakes on each side barely touches your power budget.

Vintage Park sits up on the Florin side of Vineyard. HOA guidelines can apply, so we’ll ask what your board allows before we sketch anything out.

Around Silver Springs and the streets near Wildhawk Golf Club, you’ll see larger homes with long, broken-up rooflines, some in that Spanish casita style. Those take more planning on where each run starts and stops, but they look great finished.

    Tile, trunks and the entry

Roofline lights hang from small plastic clips that hook the gutter edge or tuck up under a shingle. A lot of the Mediterranean-style builds have concrete tile, and those get tile clips that grab the lip without cracking it. Nothing gets stapled or nailed.

Out in the yard we wrap tree trunks and main limbs, spiral the porch pillars, and set stake lights along walks and driveway edges after somebody walks the lawn looking for sprinkler heads. At the door, a lit wreath plus lit garland across the entry or down a staircase banister finishes it. The whole setup runs on a timer, so it’s glowing when you pull in from work and off by the time you’re asleep.

    Out toward Grant Line Road

The acreage side of Vineyard is a different job. A house set back behind a pasture and a gravel drive won’t show much from the road with roofline alone, so we usually start at the gate: a lit wreath on each post and stakes lining the first stretch of the drive. Power usually comes from a shop or a detached garage out there, so we bring the long, heavy-gauge cord. Give us a rough length for the driveway and where your outdoor plugs are, and we can plan the runs before install day. Horses on the property? Say so, and we’ll keep every cord well out of reach.

A note on HOAs and timing

Most of the newer Vineyard subdivisions have some kind of homeowners association, and a few have strong feelings about holiday lighting: no lights before a certain date, everything down by a certain date, no cords across common areas. We work inside all of that. Your install goes on the calendar after the go-ahead date, every cord stays on your side of the property line, and our January takedown lands well ahead of most deadlines. If your board wants the neighborhood entrance or the monument sign lit, we do that too.

    Built for December out here

New neighborhoods don’t have tall trees yet, so nothing stands between your roof and a gusty night. We clip each run tight and check it before we leave. If any section quits, call (916) 823-8394. Sometime in January our truck shows up again, the clips come off, and everything rides away with us. There’s more on each service on its own page, and neighbors across the road can find us on our Florin page. We’re out in Rancho Cordova and Wilton plenty too. Call (916) 823-8394 with your HOA’s go-ahead date and we’ll book around it, or leave it on our contact page.
