Lodi in December means bare vines, a lit-up School Street, and fog that can hang around for days. It’s a straight shot down 99 from the Elk Grove Christmas Light Hanging yard, past Galt and over the Mokelumne, and it’s one of the nicer drives of our season. Lodi Christmas light hanging is something we do for homes all over town and for plenty of businesses too. Call (916) 823-8394 for a quote by phone.
North Lodi, by the lake and the river
The north side is closest to us, and it’s where Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne are. Neighborhoods like Lakewood and Rivergate have mature trees and settled yards, which means real trunks to wrap. We like a clean spiral up the trunk and into the first big limbs, spaced evenly so it reads as intentional from the curb.
Older homes around Hutchins Street Square
In Hutchins Heights and the streets near Hutchins Street Square, the houses are older and have more personality: front porches, turned posts, deep eaves, painted wood trim. That style is made for pillar wraps on the porch posts and garland along the railing. We check the wood first, though. Older fascia and gutters sometimes need a gentler clip or a different anchor point, and if something looks like it won’t hold, we’ll say so rather than hang on it anyway.
Lodi Christmas lights on the west and south side
Century Meadows and Legacy Estates, off Century Boulevard on the south end, have bigger homes and longer rooflines. More roofline means more planning: where each run starts and ends, where the power comes from, and how many circuits it’ll take. Sunwest, on the west side, is more of a standard tract layout, which is simple and quick to light well.
The country around town is its own job. Lodi is ringed by vineyards, and plenty of people live on ranch parcels tucked between the rows. Long driveways with stakes down each side, a wrapped oak by the gate, a lit wreath on the barn. For the long runs we bring heavier outdoor cord and plan the timer around it.
Lodi Christmas light hanging, clip by clip
Every strand comes from us, so there’s no buying and no knots. Roofline clips either grab the gutter or tuck beneath a shingle, and tile roofs get tile clips that catch the lip without cracking it. Stakes run along walks and driveway edges, set between the sprinkler heads so the first watering cycle doesn’t knock them sideways. Column and tree wraps, wreaths and garland fill in the rest, and the whole display runs on a timer. What’s included is laid out on one page.
Why we plan for fog
If you’ve lived in Lodi a while, the December fog that settles in and won’t leave is nothing new. It’s hard on lights in a quiet way. Everything stays wet, and a connection sitting in the grass will start acting up by the second week. So our connections live up under the eave or tucked behind a downspout, any cord crossing a lawn gets lifted and pinned, and every run gets clipped tight, corners included. It saves a service call later. If a section still goes out, call (916) 823-8394 and we’ll head down.
Downtown and businesses
Downtown Lodi around School Street and the Lodi Arch gets busy in December, and a lit storefront really stands out on a foggy evening. We handle rooflines, column wraps and garland for shops, restaurants, tasting rooms, offices and churches, and we can work before you open or after you close.
Takedown and booking
In January our crew makes one more trip down 99, unhooks everything and hauls it back north. You don’t store a single light. If you live between Lodi and our yard, our Galt page covers that stretch. Call (916) 823-8394 for a free estimate, and if you’re on a vineyard parcel, tell us how long the drive is. Photos work through the contact page too.
