Esplanade at Madeira Ranch has a Snow Glow Holiday Walk on its calendar, an evening when residents stroll the streets to see how the neighbors decorated. In a community where the first homes only went up in 2024, that’s a lot of people looking at a lot of first attempts. Esplanade at Madeira Ranch Christmas light hanging by Elk Grove Christmas Light Hanging gets your house ready for that walk without you on a ladder or a single hole in new stucco. Phone (916) 823-8394 to talk it through.

New house, new rules for the installer

Taylor Morrison is still building here, with 606 homes planned, and every one of them has fresh paint, new gutters and a roof nobody has walked on. We’d like to keep it that way. For the roofline we use plastic clips that seat on the gutter edge or slide beneath the edge of the roofing. Nothing gets screwed, stapled or glued. Wreath hooks and garland ties are the removable kind. When the display leaves in January, the house looks exactly like it did at your final walkthrough with the builder.

Homes come with two- or three-car garages, and the garage run is the longest straight line on most fronts. That’s where we start, because a level line across the garage sets the tone for everything else.

The trees aren’t ready yet. That’s okay.

Landscaping here is brand new and the trees are very young. A tree wrap won’t do much on a trunk that thin, and we’d sooner tell you that than sell you one. For now the house carries the display:

    • Roofline lights on the eaves and street-facing peaks.
    • Pillar wraps on entry columns or porch posts, where your plan has them.
    • Lit garland around the front door.
    • A lit wreath on the gable or by the entry.
    • Stake lighting beside the front walk, set carefully around the irrigation.

Give the trees a few seasons and we’ll revisit the wraps.

    The association and the gate

Esplanade is a gated 55-plus community with its own association. Its governing documents are open to members only, so we haven’t read what they say about holiday decorations and we won’t put dates in your head. You have access. Look up the current rule or ask at The Lodge on Lodge Way, pass it along, and the install and January takedown get set to fit. In a new community it’s also worth asking whether anything in the front yard is association-maintained before stakes go in.

We’ll need you to arrange gate entry for both visits, which is quick to settle on the phone. Quotes work the same way: you walk us through the front on the phone or send photos, and we tell you what it takes. We’re nearby all season, working in the Madeira family neighborhoods and at Glenbrooke. Get on the schedule by calling (916) 823-8394, or send a note from the contact page.

Esplanade at Madeira Ranch Christmas light hanging in time for the Snow Glow walk

The crew arrives with all the lights and hangs them. The community off Poppy Ridge Road has no tall trees yet, so nothing shelters a roofline from the weather. Tight clips and dry connections are how the display gets to the night of the walk, and on to New Year’s, looking the way it did on day one.

January is removal month. The crew strips the whole display, and nothing gets stacked in a garage you just finished unpacking. If a strand quits before then, (916) 823-8394 gets it looked at.

Everything runs on a timer that fires at dusk. That way the house is lit when you walk back from the community’s Tree Lighting Ceremony or from dinner at Barrel House Bistro.

Esplanade at Madeira Ranch questions, answered

Will hanging lights damage my new Esplanade home?

It shouldn’t leave a mark. We use clips on the gutter and roof edge and removable hooks and ties elsewhere. No screws, staples or adhesive on new paint or stucco.

What does the Esplanade association allow for holiday lights?

We don’t know, because the governing documents are members-only. Check the current rules or ask at The Lodge, and we’ll schedule the work to match what you’re told.

Should I wrap the new trees in my front yard?

Probably not yet. The trees are very young and a wrap on a thin trunk doesn’t show much. Roofline and entry lighting give a far better result for now.

Esplanade is gated. How does the crew get in?

You arrange entry for us on the install day and on the January removal day. We confirm both dates with you ahead of time.
