Anybody who commutes up Highway 99 from Galt every day has earned a Saturday off in December, not a Saturday on a ladder, and Galt Christmas light hanging is how we give it back. The Elk Grove Christmas Light Hanging crew is one short hop up the freeway, and we’re down your way most weeks already for jobs on the ranch roads east of town. Call (916) 823-8394 and we’ll quote it while you’ve got us on the line.
Galt Christmas light hanging on the newer tracts
A lot of Galt’s recent building has gone in along the Liberty Ranch corridor, near the high school. Tidy streets, new roofs, and a fair number of two-story houses. Parlin Oaks is mostly two-stories, some of them paired under one roof, so the upper line is the one to light. That’s the line people see from down the block, and on a paired home we keep your lights on your half of the roof.
New composition shingle takes a clip that slips under the bottom edge without lifting the seal. Nothing gets nailed, so the roof you just paid for stays watertight. Some of these streets have HOA guidelines on timing and colors, and we stick to whatever yours says.
Twin Cities, Old Town and the settled streets
The Twin Cities side, up on the north edge of town, is a mix of older houses with newer ones filled in around them. Older fascia can have a soft spot or two, so we check before we clip, and if a board won’t hold we find another anchor or skip that stretch.
Around Old Town Galt you get smaller lots, older trees and the antique shops downtown. A front porch with a pair of posts is made for a pillar wrap and a wreath on the door. Simple, and it suits an older house better than a roof covered edge to edge.
River Oaks, near its elementary school, has grown-in yards, and the front trees there are usually a good size for a full trunk and branch wrap. On a street where every roofline is lit, the wrapped tree is what makes a house stand out. Older homes on those blocks often have a single outdoor outlet by the front door, so we split the runs between that one and whatever’s in the garage, and the timer goes where you can reach it if you ever want the lights on early for company.
Galt Christmas lights out on the acreage
Head out Twin Cities Road, Kost Road or Simmerhorn Road and the parcels get big fast. Horse property, ranch houses set way back, long gravel drives. This is where stake lights pay off. A row down both sides of the drive reads from the road even when the house hides behind trees.
Power takes some thought out here. The closest outlet might be on the barn or the far side of the garage, and a run that long needs heavy outdoor cord and a timer that can handle the load. We sort out the layout before the first strand goes up. Open farm ground doesn’t slow a December gust, so rooflines get clipped tight and garland gets tied off at both ends on porch rails and gates. If a strand still quits, call (916) 823-8394 and somebody heads down 99 to fix it.
What you get
We supply every bulb and every clip and do all the climbing: roofline lights, tree wraps, column wraps, stake lighting, lit wreaths, and lit garland over the entry or along a porch rail. Each one is on the full service list. We light businesses, churches and HOA entrances in Galt too.
January brings the crew back to pull every clip, and it all rides home on the truck, so nothing sits on the roof into spring and nothing ends up stacked in your garage. You never touch a box, start to finish.
If you’re on the rural stretch north of Galt, our Wilton page covers that side, and we run down through the vineyards to Lodi too. Tell us your road and how long the drive is when you call (916) 823-8394, or leave it on the contact page.
